The Washington Post reports today that the Neighborhood Restaurant Group has now decided on a name for the brewery it is bringing to the Boilermaker Shops at the Yards: Bluejacket, which it says is "historically a term for sailors in the US Navy."
The brewery also now has a web site, a Twitter feed, and a Facebook page. And an "Established 2013" tagline, so that's another confirmation that they don't look to be opened before the end of this year.
The brewery will be located on the eastern end of the Boilermaker Shops building, fronting 4th Street SE.

The Boilermaker Shops are looking great. Anyone know what is going on at 1212 4th. They were working quickly at one point, but it is has been dead at the site for the better part of month. With so much heavy manufacturing occuring at the site over the years, I wonder if they found something or are perhaps conducting some testing.

I think the strangest shop so far that I heard about in Boilermaker was the laundromat - is that actually happening? I don't see the logic in putting a laundromat in when I am fairly certain that the majority of apartments in the area have a laundry room or in-unit washers and dryers, unless it's also a dry cleaner.

Are you being sarcastic? I am not sure... the tone leads me to think you are, but the content of that statement would be too ridiculous to make it so.

The neighborhood has ONE bar, and ONE upscale wine and spirits shop. This is a neighborhood built around a sports stadium that houses over 80 events every year. Its housing market is geared towards young urban professionals. Did you really think that a tiny cafe in the ground floor of a condo building that has four beer taps is enough for what this neighborhood is supposed to eventually become?

Of course, I'm not sure you were being sarcastic. So if I'm wrong, my apologies.
