Aug. 21, 2003 - What the same location looked like in the earliest days of JDLand photography, in August 2003.
Feb. 22, 2004 - The remains of the gas station were demolished in fall 2003, exposing a view of the by-then-boarded-up Capper public housing units on the rear of the block. Those were demolished in early 2005.
Aug. 5, 2017 - The corner remained unchanging--save for a surface parking lot--for 12 years, until the construction of the
Harlow mixed-income apartment building on the north end of the block got underway in 2017.

USDOT HQ has risen at the end of 2nd Street, across M Street.
