A pretty day at the ballpark, and great timing to see both the cherry blossoms and the work vehicles in bloom.    (link)
A pretty day inside the ballpark, too. Not really visible in this photo (sorry) is the safety netting, now extended to the outer ends of both dugouts.    (link)
Close up of the scoreboard, now showcasing new Official Beer Partner Budweiser.    (link)
The Red Porch and Red Loft, now renamed the Bud Light Loft and the Budweiser Brew House.    (link)
Delta Airlines is now the Official Airline and Official Private Jet Carrier for the Nationals, which brings with it sponsorship of the former Presidents' Club, now the Delta Sky360 Club.    (link)
New banners going up on the garages, with Stephen Strasburg and Ben Revere waiting to see who will be joining them.    (link)
Look! Up in the sky! It's a beard!    (link)
A new coat of Budweiser Red paint for the new Budweiser Brew House.    (link)
Speaking of Budweiser, the old Scoreboard Walk is now the Budweiser Terrace.    (link)
Hard to tell from this shot, but Shake Shack has expanded into the space formerly occupied by El Verano Taqueria. There will also now be an e-cash line at Shake Shack for Nats Plus members. Also expanding this year is Virginia Country Kitchen, which will offer its biscuits and other delicacies in Section 315 in addition to Section 113.    (link)
The aforementioned El Verano Taqueria, now a cart in Section 233.    (link)
Promotional giveaways this season include Bryce Harper and Max Scherzer No-Hitter(s) bobbleheads, and a Bryce Harper Chia Pet. There will also be Dusty Baker and fan's choice bobbleheads, Nationals sunglasses, a Racing Teddy Window Cling, and more.    (link)
There will also be theme nights again, like 80s Night, Rat Pack Night, Oktoberfest, Election Night (in September) and, of course, Star Wars Day.    (link)
And now to the food, which was showcased to the hungry media hordes in the old team store space on N Street, which is now "Center Field Social."    (link)
The team is getting into the kid's birthday party business this year, with packages available during every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday home game. There will be pizza, cupcakes, drinks, and a mascot visit in Center Field Social, along with special present for the birthday child. (No, packages aren't available for adult birthday parties.)    (link)
Did I mention that Budweiser is now the Official Beer? This means that the basic beer lineup will include Bud, Bud Light, Goose Island, Shock top, Stella Artois, and Blue Point Toasted Lager.    (link)
Top Chef contestant Mike Isabella will have two new outlets at the ballpark, including Kapnos at the Park in Section 301, which will include Greek-inspired dishes like gyros, hummus, and tzatziki.    (link)
Isabella's other operation will be Catchfly, also in Section 301 and featuring ribs, waffle fries, Nashville Hot Chicken, popcorn chicken, and more.    (link)
The Norfolk Southern Club will have On Rye, offering Jewish-style deli sandwiches, like Reubens, and also babka ice cream sandwiches.    (link)
One of two local vendors that won the team's Pitch Your Product Culinary Contest, Haute Dog and Fries will have gourmet hot dogs and hand-cut fries in Section 105.    (link)
And tots.    (link)
Pinch Dumplings was the other contest winner, and will offer its pork, beef and vegetarian options in Section 302.    (link)
The big renovation inside the park for 2016 is in the PNC Diamond Club, with a new entrance a few feet west of its old one.    (link)
The Diamond Club is now a two-story venue, with considerably more seating and bar space. This shot looks down on the showy sign and light fixtures of the first floor, along with the first floor bar, considerably extended.    (link)
Looking across the first-floor seating of the Diamond Club.    (link)
The long bar.    (link)
The additional seating on the mezzanine level.    (link)
The second floor's bar.    (link)
Diamond Club food prep space.    (link)
Also new for 2016 is a space just off the Home Plate Gate (formerly the PNC Diamond Lounge) where fans can buy a "Homeplate Tailgate Package." For $75 per person (minimum 75 people), groups can get game tickets, food, beer and wine, and of course, cornhole. Because cornhole rules everything.    (link)
The Nats also highlighted their Community Relations work, including: a Nationals STEM Education curriculum that demonstrates connections between baseball, science, and mathematics, a partnership with the DC Public Library Summer Reading Program, and a NatsPrep course for high school students for hospitality, sports promotion, and event management.    (link)
The Nationals have also donated a Nationls jersey and cap to every boy and girl playing in a DC Little League or in the Department of Parks and Rec Rookie League, in enough different styles to allow all teams to wear the donated clothes as their uniforms and saving DC Little Leagues more than $110,000.    (link)
Not completely new this year (it launched in August 2015) is the Lansinoh Nursing Mother's Lounge, adjacent to Section 223, which you may not see photos of in too many other spots because most of the media men on the tour seemed hesitant to go in.    (link)
The not-new team store was also on the tour this year because the Nats will now be operating the Main Team Store themselves, which the team says will result in better prices, broader selection and "exclusive styles." They also showed new merchandise, such as the plush Bryce Harper, and the team caps not only in colors of local schools, but with the local school's logo on the back. There will also be a new "5th & Ocean" store at Section 114 featuring merchandise for women.    (link)
The Nats are also starting a pin trading station near Section 138.    (link)
You didn't expect me to only look inside the park, did you? The view from above the grand staircase to the Anacostia River now includes the Dock 79 apartment building and the public plaza that will be built between it and Diamond Teague Park.    (link)
